Meet Stephanie
My name is Stephanie and I am a maternity nurse in Utrecht and the surrounding area. Additionally, I work at the maternity center of the St. Antonius Hospital, where I also provide birth support.
I have been working in healthcare for 22 years now and bring this extensive experience to my work as a maternity nurse. I am accustomed to observing closely, acting carefully, and remaining calm when necessary.
As a mother of four children, I know better than anyone how special, but sometimes also overwhelming, the first period with a baby can be. That is precisely why I find it important to stand by your side with expertise, calm, and personal attention.
Personally, I also have a strong affinity with diverse cultural backgrounds. Within my own family and my in-laws, I get to know other cultures, traditions, and customs surrounding family, birth, and upbringing up close. Because of this, I understand how important it can be that there is room during the postpartum period for the customs and traditions that are valuable to a family.
During the postpartum week, I focus on the entire family. Partners, brothers, and sisters are also welcome to feel seen and involved. I help with household chores where necessary, so that you have as much time and rest as possible for each other and your baby.
I guide you with the care of your baby, feeding, and the mother's recovery, and give you the confidence to continue independently after the postpartum week.
I can also offer support to you and the midwife during a home birth.
My goal is a postpartum week in which you feel safe, heard, and trusted, and can fully enjoy each other and your new baby.
